Personal Development Through Caregiving

Hello, people who are here to read this blog!!! Thank you for stopping by!

Recently, I am getting more and more convinced that care giving is not just a job but can be personal development for caregivers like me... Lynn (the woman I take care of)  may not say much, but giving me experiences to learn to develop my possibilities.

Since a few days ago, as I started giving Lynn a banana like the way we eat instead of giving her by a spoon, I have been excited. But, then, somehow fear kicked in today... For someone like her does not improve...that's the way the world look at...I got fear because maybe next bite she may completely stop eating a banana like we do...I hate to see that happen...

Then, in my brain,  start thinking should I stop giving her a banana like we eat before she quite, or what???

I knew that comes from FEAR and DOUBT...because it has not happened yet. And, even today, she ate it like the way we do...

As I was feeding Lynn, I got thinking, maybe, Lynn is teaching me to overcome my FEAR and DOUBT through her.

fear help, alzheimer's, home care, caregiver, care giving, elderly care, stroke

Just like the picture above said, fears are stories we create in our head. It has not happened yet, but what if...

I feel it is very practical wisdom not just for this instance but for my life in general right now. FEARS stop us from going to the next steps above.

When I catch myself feeling "FEAR and DOUBT," I need to make conscious effort to replace them with "FAITH and FAITHFUL ACTION." We may not see the result right away, these action added up to blossom!!!

Stop sabotaging our future success with our own fear and doubt. Let us make commitment to create success to flourish!

FAITH + WORK = MIRACLE
