Good morning! After the long stormy rain we had last night, it is very peaceful, calm, and cool morning!!! Love it!
Something exciting happened yesterday!
As a full time caregiver, I get to see how Lynn improves compare with
a month ago because I see pretty much everything Lynn go through and I
take care of her. But, most people don’t get to see her improvement
because they may drop by ten minutes while she is sleeping so they
assume that all she does is to sleep and waiting to be dead…Most of them
don’t get to see her smile, how talkative she can be, and all that.
Them, they just stop coming by…
Anyway, lately as I wave my hand to her, she starts waving her hand
back to me. So, I was telling a nurse from a hospice service who comes
to check on Lynn every two weeks yesterday and I waved Lynn to see if
she would respond…
I wasn’t sure if she would do anything but the blessing happened. She
gave us a big smile and waved her hands, not just one hand but both
hands! This nurse was surprised. I was teasing this nurse one hand is
for her and the other is for me!!!
It is so nice that people come and see Lynn actually get to witness
positive things are happening instead of just hearing from my mouth. I
personally believe sometimes we make others sick by us putting label on a
“sick” person.” But, as we are open the possibility of the capacity and
possibility of human being, we can help “sick” people get well!!!
So, thankful!!!
